One more of the pearls we can find at Art Basel Miami 2018 is Galleria Continua. This art gallery was founded in 1990 by the remarkable trio: Mario Cristiani, Lorenzo Fiaschi and Maurizio Rigillo. Their mission was, from the start, to perpetuate contemporary art and merge it with the ancient arts, creating something even more outstanding.

Its location was quite peculiar: far from the rush of the big cities and the already saturated art communities, in the historic town of San Gimignano, in the core of Tuscany, a place where the time seems to have stopped.

The growth of Galleria Continua is due to the generous, altruist, dedicated, passionate and innovative art collaborations it established over time.

Their goal is to achieve a moment in human history where creativity bonds everyone and everything, from the past to the future and from all over the world. That’s why, in 2004, Galleria Continua became the first Italian gallery to open in China, always showcasing international artists in its exhibitions.

The year of 2007 brought another challenge to the table: to revive an abandoned and forgotten place, the historic factory of Le Moulin, at Seine-et-Marne, in the countryside near Paris. Since then, layer by layer, it suffered a metamorphosis and became a special place to exhibit large-scale art pieces, dedicated to culture, art, design and innovation. Thanks to this space, many stimulating collaborations between international artists from several backgrounds were born.

But the journey does not end here. In 2011, two other large areas were recovered in the ancient paper mill of Sainte-Marie, near Le Moulin Boissy. There major exhibitions by artists from around the world were organized.

It’s undoubtful, Galleria Continua has a unique spirit and honors its mission of nurturing culture, kindness and contemporary art. It believes art is a universal language that will help us build paths between several cultures and nations. This belief made it open another gallery space in Cuba and in Aguila de Oro, Havana.
