
Art Basel Miami 2018 is coming close and everyone is excited to see what the best international art galleries curated for us. Gagosian is one of them and we can’t wait to find out more about this year’s exquisite collection.

In its thirty years of living, Gagosian developed a global network that includes sixteen exhibition spaces in the most relevant cities to the art and design fields: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Paris, Rome, Athens, Geneva and Hong Kong. Even its areas were carefully designed by renowned architects like Caruso St John, Richard Gluckman, Richard Meier, Jean Nouvel, Selldorf Architects, and wHY Architecture.

The art gallery’s contemporary program highlights works by the best international artists. Georg Baselitz, Ellen Gallagher, Andreas Gursky, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Anselm Kiefer, Ed Ruscha, Richard Serra, Taryn Simon and Rachel Whiteread are some examples.

Gagosian not only showcases the best of contemporary art, but it also has a concern in the preservation of historical masterpieces that are prepared and presented with dedication. These works of art were brought to life by legendary artists like as Francis Bacon, Alexander Calder, John Chamberlain, Willem de Kooning, Lucio Fontana, Helen Frankenthaler, Alberto Giacometti, Roy Lichtenstein, Piero Manzoni, Claude Monet, Henry Moore, Jackson Pollock, David Smith, Cy Twombly and Andy Warhol.

Who doesn’t know the fabulous Picasso? Even his groundbreaking surveys were curated by John Richardson and admired by thousand of visitors in New York and London.

The gallery is also aware of the need to pass the artistic knowledge to the new generations, that’s why it publishes a specific catalogue focused on scholarly exhibitions and artists monographies. Since 2012, Gagosian is also responsible by an innovative magazine about the gallery, its art pieces and art creators that is published four times a year.
