This is the art and craft of applying pieces of veneer to a structure to form decorative patterns, designs or pictures. The technique may be applied to case furniture or even seat furniture, to decorative small objects with smooth surfaces or to pictorial panels.
In Culture’s workshops, two magnificent stools were created using ancient techniques. Both were born from the hands of the master artisan Vitor Querido and one of them designed by Almiro Amorim.
Autumn has a strong presence in one of the stool’s design. The orange and light brown leaves create an harmonious composition against the black background.
On the other hand, the second stool is a true creative outburst filled with different references and patterns all merged together into an outstanding piece.
