Visitors will be able to learn how to upholster a stool during the Shoreditch Design Rooms<\/strong><\/a>\u2019 open weekend and then take home their finished piece. Sunday 12 May will offer the opportunity to participate in a mass upholstery<\/strong> \u2018make-a-thon\u2019 to benefit a local charity.<\/p>\n

The workshop produces beautifully handcrafted upholstery using both traditional<\/strong> and modern techniques. Shoreditch Design Rooms pride themselves on their expertise on furniture of all ages and complexities and are particularly well known for their work with mid-century furniture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

If you visit them during their open weekend to take part in a class on Saturday 11 May, we will be able to bring to life and take home your own upholstered stool<\/strong> in Camira fabric. All materials are included in the course.
\nOn Sunday 12 May, you can also join a giant \u2018make-a-thon\u2019 with their students to benefit local charity, the Albert Kennedy Trust. If you watch upholstery makers<\/strong> in action, maybe you will also fall in love with this beautiful technique.<\/p>\n
