One of the best european master artisans<\/strong>, Mauro Mori<\/strong><\/a>, a stone sculptor<\/strong> who loves marble work<\/strong><\/em>, had the opportunity to meet several cultures<\/strong> and travel to extraordinary places. His travels inspired the ideas on which his research is based. His works are molded by hand, bringing emotional and affective values, using natural materials, exalting what nature<\/strong> is capable of creating.<\/p>\n

Solid blocks of natural material<\/strong>, molded by the traditional subtraction method<\/strong>, form the basis of his works. Mauro often works his sculptures<\/strong> in the place of the material\u2019s origin, such as Albizia Rosa<\/strong> of Seychelles<\/strong> or marble worked directly at Carrara<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The plasticity<\/strong> of the materials, the relief work<\/strong> and the outstanding craftsmanship<\/strong> are common trends present in all his work. His constant research is also shown by the work on metals<\/strong>, which are tooled in plate form and finished with oxidations<\/strong> and patinas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Mauro Mori\u2019s works are always modelled by hand, never using machines. The masterpiece<\/strong> \u201cBoth\u201d<\/em> was hand carved<\/strong> from a single block of Paonazzo marble<\/strong>. A circular shape was cut out in the marble, guiding the viewer\u2019s eye through the sculpture in such a way that the background becomes an integral part of the art piece.<\/p>\n
