From luxurious home furniture, to the most eccentric pieces of d\u00e9cor, this artist has a large portfolio of great unique pieces<\/strong>. Let\u2019s dive into some of his most exceptional work, handmade<\/strong> with craftmanship<\/strong> techniques combined with innovative design<\/strong> ideas.<\/p>\n

Conceived by Jaime Hayon for Lladro Atelier<\/strong>, these pieces are hand painted<\/strong> and handcrafted<\/strong> from porcelain<\/strong>. The Guest<\/em>\u00a0come in two sizes, the large in a limited edition<\/strong> of 250 units and the small in a numbered series.<\/p>\n

A lighting design<\/strong> presented in three colors (copper<\/strong>, platinum<\/strong> and white), named Candy Light<\/em>, the trio of lamps is a distillation of rich textures<\/strong> and materials, a subtle conjoining of ceramic <\/strong>base and clear, cut-crystal shade. Carefully added to the base, the switch embodied by a Baccarat<\/strong>\u00a0crystal<\/strong> pendant triggers and diffuses the light. Between its ceramic base and its crystal shade the outline takes shape and creates an impression of perfection<\/strong>, heightened, when lit, by a delicately embossed waffle collar.<\/p>\n

As part of the \u2018showtime<\/em>\u2019 collection, Haydon created a limited edition<\/strong> of 40 vases to commemorate the 40th birthday of Barcelona Design<\/strong>. The hand painted<\/strong> pieces are unique items. Handcrafted<\/strong> out of porcelain<\/strong>, the edition is identified with a numbering system of black strokes against the white finished surface. Faces are drawn on the top lids of the objects with prominent elements like ears to create a statuette shape.<\/p>\n

In a collaboration with Caesarstone<\/strong>, Jaime Hayon, created these furniture pieces which each adapt caesarstone\u2019s signature quartz<\/strong> in a new way, with a focus on craftsmanship<\/strong> and the use of traditional<\/strong> high-end stone marquetry<\/strong>. Joyful \u2018face cabinets<\/em>\u2019 amongst other creations form an exclusive <\/strong>and interesting<\/strong> world, where Hayon\u2019s signature spirit meets a precious material<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Face Mirror<\/em>, which was created specifically for the \u201cFuntastico\u201d<\/em> exhibition and to mark the Holon museum<\/strong>\u2018s fifth anniversary, is made from Caesarstone manufactured quartz marquetry<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Made in blown Murano glass<\/strong>, metal<\/strong> and wooden<\/strong> accessories the Testa Mechanica<\/em>\u00a0series was presented as part of Glasstress for Venice Projects<\/em> at the Venice Biennial<\/strong> 2011 and MAD<\/strong>, New York City in 2012.<\/p>\n

With incredible wit, boldness, and talent, the designer has joined two apparently unrelated and ordinary things\u2014a chicken and a rocking chair\u2014to create an energetic, puzzling, and appealing work of art. The limited edition<\/strong> of 8 (including this piece) is handcrafted by Italian craftsmen<\/strong> in lacquered fiberglass with metal base.<\/p>\n

All a part of the American Chateau<\/em> by Jaime Hayon & Nienke Klunder<\/strong> exhibition, these pieces take inspiration from the iconic cultural exports of the USA and the luxury<\/strong> of 17th century European craftwork.<\/strong> It challenges the elite designs of art and gives it a frame of reference in contemporary<\/strong> everyday culture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
