Maarten Baas<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is an extremely creative Dutch designer<\/strong> born in 19 February 1978. Baas grew up in Burgh-Haamstede and Hemmen located in the southwest and central region of the\u00a0Netherlands. After graduating from high school, he began studying at the Design Academy Eindhoven<\/strong> in 1996.<\/p>\n

Baas is known as one of the most influential Dutch designers<\/strong> of the beginning of the 21st century. He is often described as an \u201cauthor designer\u201d, since his art pieces<\/strong> are incredible storytellers and play with the boundaries between art<\/strong> and design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Rebellious<\/strong>, playful, intellectual, theatrical and artistic<\/strong> are some of the adjectives used to define his work. In the design field, he is now an unstoppable force, working in a variety of categories, from conceptual design<\/strong>, limited edition furniture<\/strong> and production design<\/strong> to installations<\/strong>, public spaces, architecture<\/strong> and interior design<\/strong> or even theatrical design and performances. His masterpieces have an admirable artistic soul.<\/p>\n

His works of art were showcased in major museum collections, such as the MoMa<\/a>, Victoria & Albert Museum<\/strong>, Les Arts Decoratifs<\/strong>, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art<\/strong>, Die Neue Sammlung<\/strong>, Stedelijk Museum <\/strong>and Rijksmuseum<\/strong>. And in private art collections of Brad Pitt<\/strong>, Kanye West<\/strong>, Ian Schrager<\/strong> and Adam Lindemann<\/strong>. He also collaborated with exclusive brands, such as\u00a0Louis Vuitton<\/a>, Swarovski<\/a>, Dior<\/a>, Gramercy Park Hotel, Dom Ruinart<\/a><\/strong> and Berluti<\/a>. <\/strong>Since 2005, Baas collaborates with Bas den Herder<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
