Launched in Milan in 1961, this art showcase<\/strong> was created to promote Italian<\/strong> exports of furniture<\/strong> and accessories<\/strong>. However, Salone Internazionale del Mobile<\/strong><\/a> is now a globally renowned event for designers<\/strong>, artists<\/strong>, collectors<\/strong>, master artisans<\/strong> and everyone that loves furniture design<\/strong>. i<\/strong>Saloni 2019<\/strong><\/em><\/u> will open its doors from 9 to 14 April and we couldn\u2019t be more excited.<\/p>\n

The Salone is organized in Milan<\/strong> in April every year, along with the biennial Euroluce<\/strong> exhibition in odd years and EuroCucina <\/strong>andthe International Bathroom Exhibition<\/strong> in even years, in collaboration with the annual International Furnishing Accessories Exhibition<\/strong> and Workplace 3.0<\/strong>. These events are followed by FTK<\/strong> (Technology<\/em> For the Kitchen<\/strong>), EuroCucina\u2019s collateral event and S. Project<\/strong>, the exhibition devoted to product design<\/strong>, decorative<\/strong> and technical<\/strong> furnishing solutions. Since 1998, the trade fair is followed by SaloneSatellite<\/strong>, a marvelous opportunity for young designers<\/strong> and a reference for companies searching for rising talents<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Along Salone del Mobile Milano, these art exhibitions cover an area of almost 210.000 square meters overall at the Rho Fiera Milano<\/strong> fairgrounds, showcasing more than 2.300 of the most motivated and creative companies<\/strong> on the international market<\/strong> each year.<\/p>\n

Maarten Baas, in collaboration with Lensvelt showcased his work, an installation titled: \u201cMay I Have Your Attention Please?\u201d at the Central Station\u2019s Magazzini Raccordati, where he opened the doors to one of the vaults, adjacent to one of Italy\u2019s busiest railway stations. More than 370.000 visitors are professionals<\/strong> in the field and admire the fair each year. Most of them (almost 70%) are from other 188 countries. Journalists<\/strong> are also a common presence at the event, around 5.000 national and international. At the weekend, the general public including around 27.500 also visits isaloni <\/strong>and gets inspired by it.<\/p>\n
