Since the end of the Nineties, Nilufar<\/strong><\/em><\/a> knows how to find its own unique place, so it became a reference point to everyone devoted to historical design<\/strong> and to people who love to follow the trends and understand the evolution of contemporary design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Above all, Nilufar inhabits that fine line between artistic knowledge<\/strong>, poetry and visionary ideas, all of them characteristic of contemporary art<\/strong>. Nina Yashar<\/strong> is the gallery\u2019s founder<\/strong> and works with her sister Nilu<\/strong> plus a team of five people. Nilufar was present in several editions of Pavillon des Arts et du Design<\/strong> in Paris and is always in the spotlight at Design Miami\/Basel<\/strong>. This art gallery<\/strong> also has its own little manifesto, composed of three words: Discovering, Crossing, Creating.<\/p>\n

Discovering:<\/strong> Novecento is the century of design<\/strong>, a source of extraordinary stories and objects which prevail, waiting just for the right time to come out of the oblivion. According to Nilufar\u2019s vision, modern antique<\/strong> dealing is an old definition. It is necessary to shift towards a less vague expression, searching for names, projects, schools, manufactures<\/strong>, countries making history, which deserve to be celebrated.<\/p>\n

Crossing:<\/strong> The history of taste<\/strong> is an endless exercise of decomposition and re-composition, just like a kaleidoscope\u2026 This continuous assembly of pieces and traditions<\/strong> craves for an open eye, rejection of labels, the ability to cross time, geography and cultural barriers and the celebration of contrasts, as two sides of the same coin. This word is also the name of two extraordinary exhibitions<\/strong> by Nilufar held in 1999 and 2000, which invited the public to view the world from different perspectives.<\/p>\n

Creating:<\/strong> Milan<\/strong> is a precious workshop<\/strong>, fascinating laboratory and a privileged spot to observe the fervent and restless design\u2019s scene. Nilufar gives life to projects<\/strong>, editions<\/strong>, site-specific shows and publications, collaborating both with great masters<\/strong> and emerging talents<\/strong>. The gallery is always searching for new young artists<\/strong> full of potential, similar to how it happened in the cherished Italian Renaissance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
