Covet Foundation<\/strong><\/a> had the exclusive pleasure to interview the remarkable David Alhadeff<\/strong>, founder of The Future Perfect<\/strong><\/em><\/u> art gallery<\/strong>, one of the best in the world. Now we unveil his answers, which allowed us to understand better the gallery\u2019s unique character.<\/p>\n

When asked about the concept he decided to follow to choose the selection of exquisite collectible designs<\/strong> to showcase at The <\/strong>Future Perfect<\/strong><\/a>, David explained: \u201cWe attempted to represent a small selection of work from all of our represented artists<\/strong> and makers<\/strong>. The work is mixed throughout the space creating a story telling opportunity that feels more lifestyle.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Speaking about talented plastic artists<\/strong>, master artisans<\/strong> and designers<\/strong> which stand out from the rest, David confessed his admiration for the acrylic artist Philip Low<\/strong> \u201cwhose work is really special\u201d<\/em>. The Future Gallery proudly works with him and the founder said: \u201cI think he manages to create and capture light and color in a way that feels really fresh\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n

When challenged to pick the \u201ccrown jewel\u201d from this year\u2019s collection, David playfully claimed: \u201cThis is a Sophie\u2019s Choice!\u00a0 I can\u2019t pick a favorite, but I can nod to the incredible effort so many of our artists went to in order that we would have new exciting work for the debut of this space.\u201d<\/em> However, he was able to remind us of the \u201cincredible wall shelf<\/strong> from Chris Wolston<\/strong>\u201d,<\/em> the \u201cnew one-of-a-kind mirrors<\/strong> from Ben<\/strong> and Aja Blanc<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>, the \u201cnew sculpture<\/strong> from John Hogan<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>, a \u201cbeautiful new Chamfer coffee table<\/strong> from Christ Stuart<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>, \u201cover 9 new pieces by Reinaldo Sanguino<\/strong>\u201d<\/em>, the \u201cceramic sculpture<\/strong> by Jonathan Cross<\/strong> and Eric Roinestad<\/strong>\u201d<\/em> and the \u201cceramic furniture<\/strong> by Floris Wubben<\/strong>\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

David Alhadeff<\/strong> says with affection: \u201cI\u2019m humbled by how many of our artists<\/strong> worked day and night in order that we would be debuting work within our space\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

To the final question, \u201cWhat do you believe to be the path The Future Perfect<\/a><\/strong> should follow to assure a bright future in the art and design field?\u201d, David Alhadeff<\/strong> greeted us with a smile, clarifying they will \u201ccontinue to do things differently and follow no path at all!\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n
