Ethereal Garden<\/strong><\/span>, the\u00a0translucent artwork of glass flowers, is born to challenge the traditional concepts of finest Craftsmanship. <\/strong><\/i><\/span><\/i>It\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0a unique and exclusive stool created, by the renowed company\u00a0Salviati<\/a>, <\/strong><\/i><\/span><\/i>Venezia 1859<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0<\/strong>using the highest quality glass<\/strong> from the Italian Murano island over a clean contemporary design.<\/i><\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Ethereal Garden<\/strong> is a collectible artwork<\/strong> inspired by the natural elements with the ethereal look of glass to enhance the legacy of Arts & Crafts<\/strong> and to\u00a0enrich the\u00a0ancestral technique<\/strong>\u00a0 in a present-day design\u00a0objet.<\/p>\n

In spite of the\u00a0excellent skills<\/strong>\u00a0of the master artisans<\/strong>, the challenge to develop the original shape\u00a0of the Carved stool, from Boca do\u00a0Lobo<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0collection,<\/span>\u00a0was considered impossible to surpass.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To pursuit a\u00a0exquisite handcrafted work<\/strong> stands for pure dedication, meticulously daily effort and years of growing experience, by trial and error, and repeating, the final and unique masterpiece,\u00a0<\/strong>the glass carved shape, <\/strong>very unusual for a glasswork,<\/strong> was achieved.<\/span><\/p>\n

Using ancient and traditional techniques<\/strong> glass was heated, turned, molded and blown, through a thin iron pipe. First, three master artisans were needed just to put 40 kg of silica into the kiln, to\u00a0blow hot glass, to sculpt <\/strong>and to\u00a0handle the dimensions and weight of it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In a continuous search for excellence <\/strong>\u00a0three attempts and a week were dedicated to transform this conceptual piece into reality, after cooling.\u00a0<\/span>Floral elements\u00a0of glass were sculpted<\/strong> and introduced carefully in the master piece,by\u00a0the delicate craftsmen<\/strong> hands, following Murano\u2019s tradition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ethereal Garden<\/strong> was conceived by the\u00a0Culture for Arts & Crafts<\/strong>, a project supported by Covet Foundation<\/strong> <\/em>where artisans, plastic artists,\u00a0and designers<\/strong> keep alive the spirit of experimentation <\/strong>by challenging manufacturing skills of finest Craftsmanship\u00a0<\/strong>to create the artpieces of excellence<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
