Dued to the owners\u2019 defiance of\u00a0the established ideas, they rise contemporary issues teasing out society through ephemeral or permanent urban interventions called \u201cThis Is Not America\u201d<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>So T*I*N*A\u2019s identity<\/strong> reflects a fresh contemporary national critical approach, with the introduction of the traditional cock<\/strong> instead of the American eagle and the assumed reinterpretation of the American symbology<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s acronym T*I*N*A<\/strong> emphasises the national dimension, remembering the abbreviation of a popular Portuguese name.\u00a0There are ideals, beliefs and symbols that they put under scrutiny, using creativity as mean of intervention, inventing their own universe, a world of awareness, values and causes.<\/p>\n

TINA<\/strong>, independent Art & Design studio<\/strong> also dedicates it\u2019s attention to innovative projects which go hand in hand with\u00a0<\/span>it\u2019s mission and identity.\u00a0Elias Marques & S\u00e9rgio Correia<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>accepted the challenge posed by CULTURE<\/strong>\u00a0to design two stools, Wood metamorphosis<\/strong> and Mabela<\/strong>, from Artsool Collection<\/strong> to be handcrafted using wood carving technique and Straw web work by the master artisans J\u00falio Leal and Dora Maria. CULTURE<\/strong> is a\u00a0portuguese project which has the proposal to elevate the craftsmanship, supported by Covet Foundation<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
