Created by the passionated craftswoman<\/strong> Dora<\/strong> in Straw Work over a clean contemporary design<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Mabela<\/strong><\/em> is a collectible artwork<\/strong> inspired by the natural elements with natural look of fibers to enhance the legacy<\/strong> of Arts & Crafts<\/strong> and to\u00a0enrich the\u00a0ancestral technique<\/strong>\u00a0 in a present-day design\u00a0objet<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deconstructing the Strawork Techniques, popular among the Viennese chairs and the mid century modern, this art piece evokes the most ancient Angolan traditions in which interlaced straw covered the interiors of the people\u2019s homes in African villages.<\/p>\n

Although the deep knowledge and passion of the master artisan Dora\u00a0the challenge to develop the original shape\u00a0of the Carved stool<\/strong>, from Boca do\u00a0Lobo<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0collection, \u00a0was arduous, but not impossible.<\/span><\/p>\n

After several long days, the experimental and creative process<\/strong> of trial and error, full of dedication, care and years of experience was to achieve the masterpiece interlacing straw<\/strong> in such a way to cover the\u00a0unusual work object<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Persistence and passion in the field were the secrets that allowed the master artisan<\/strong> Dora to discover how to use straw<\/strong> in this shape.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was with extremelly intelligence and\u00a0delicacy of\u00a0 the master artisan Dora hands\u2019\u00a0could\u00a0keep natural and clear look to the piece\u2019s original design.\u00a0Thin fibers was interlaced and crossed\u00a0carefully in the master piece, by\u00a0the delicate craftswoman\u2019s\u00a0hands, following the african Straw Web Work tradition.<\/p>\n
