Here are the Highlights from this year\u2019s edition of one of the best furniture design events in the world:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>1.625m\/s2<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201c1.625m\/s2\u201d is an extremely creative art piece which explores the relationship between the sun and the moon. It is a <strong>mirrored mobile<\/strong> created by the talented Japanese designer <strong>Hiroto Yoshizoe<\/strong>, which reflects the light of one simple bulb. Photo: \u00a9Hiroto Yoshizoe<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>According to the Tokyo-based designer, the mobile\u2019s form was born from an attempt to visualize light and how it travels. It consists of a series of <strong>suspended mirrors<\/strong> that reflect light, from the lamp and from the sun, to illuminate the surrounding space.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/264892359?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"810\" height=\"456\" frameborder=\"0\" title=\"1.625 m\/s2  ( moon, sun )\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe moon is the most well-known indirect lighting to humanity. It receives light from the sun and gently shines above us and is strongly associated with our feelings from <strong>ancient times<\/strong>\u201c<\/em>, explains Yoshizoe. <em>\u201cJust like the moon, this lighting equipment receives light from external environments and appears to shine gently to our eyes. Photo: \u00a9Hiroto Yoshizoe<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Origo Collection<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The design studio <strong>David Pompa<\/strong> from Mexico City rounded porous <strong>volcanic stone<\/strong> into spheres for its latest <strong>lighting collection<\/strong>.<span id=\"more-1340361\"><\/span> The Origo collection includes pendant and wall fixtures built from simple geometric forms. Each of the designs includes a rounded black volcanic base with a glass bulb attached. The <strong>pendant light<\/strong> incorporates two stacked spheres suspended by a black wire. Photo: \u00a9Deezen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Grasshopper<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Grasshopper is a chair designed 81 years ago by Danish designer <strong>Finn Juhl<\/strong> that was now re-released by the furniture brand that bears his name.<span id=\"more-1343394\"><\/span> The chair was unveiled at the <strong>Salone del Mobile<\/strong> furniture fair, which opened as part of Milan Design Week. Photo: \u00a9Deezen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>With an<strong> oak<\/strong> or <strong>walnut<\/strong> frame, and upholstery in <strong>fabric <\/strong>or <strong>leather<\/strong>, the back legs and armrests join to a point on the floor at the back of the chair, giving the impression of the bent legs of a grasshopper about to jump. The buttoned back of the chair extends up from the base and curls around on each side at the top to cocoon the sitter. Photo: \u00a9Deezen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>A.I.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cA.I.\u201d is a chair created by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.covetfoundation.com\/events\/contemporary-design-best-designers-and-architects-in-the-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Philippe Starck<\/strong><\/a> for <strong>Kartell<\/strong>. The software company claims it is the first chair designed using artificial intelligence. Launched at the Salone del Mobile furniture fair during Milan Design Week 2019, the chair was designed by Starck using prototype generative design software developed by Autodesk.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"810\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/M22NyJW8Hfo?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is the first chair in production created by <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> in collaboration with human beings\u201d<\/em>, said the software company. Photo: \u00a9Deezen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<h3>Minnoti\u2019s Collection<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minotti<\/strong>\u2018s art director Rodolfo Dordoni described how the brand\u00a0worked with a diverse array of international designers to develop its identity for the <strong>Italian furniture manufacturer<\/strong> during Milan Design Week.<span id=\"more-1344682\"><\/span> Minotti showcased new furniture pieces from talented designers including <strong>Nendo, Christophe Delcourt, GamFratesi<\/strong> and <strong>Studio MK27<\/strong>, as well as by <strong>Dordoni<\/strong>, at its stand at Salone del Mobile\u00a0this year.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"810\" height=\"456\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hqezzpW_atk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>According to Dordoni, the booth was designed to showcase Minotti\u2019s updated brand identity, as well as to display the new collections. <em>\u201cIn the past, we have worked with <strong>square geometrical forms<\/strong>\u201c<\/em>, he said. <em>\u201cThe space that we\u2019re presenting this year is more <strong>curved<\/strong>, more round.
