During Fuorisalone in Milan Design Week 2019, Tortona Design District (Opicio 31 Via Tortona, 31, 20144), Alex Chinneck will present his new provoking installation, a project concerned with the current state of the environment, inspired by IQOS, the smoke free latest technology discovered by Philip Morris International. His project is called IQOS World.

This site-specific design project will involve the front buildings, at Opificio 31’s entrance. A distinctive feature of it is the zip, a visual disruption through which the artist gives rise to a surreal opening from which a mysterious light comes out, connecting the audience to an immersive experience.

The surfaces of the space were designed by the artist as metaphors of an ideal process of transformation in which the opening owns a special ability to create a new narrative.
