Born in Sarlat in 1962, Daniel Daviau lives and works in Paris. He grew up in the heart of Périgord where he spent his childhood surrounded by nature and cultivated his love for animals. He studied sculpture and worked with wood, but he later decided that bronze would be his chosen material to spread his own unique artistic message. He started by representing endangered species. Nowadays, he portrays all animals, from the humblest to the proudest, to capture them, freezing them in time and gifting them with eternal life.

Sophia Vari was born in Greece in 1940 to a Greek father and Hungarian mother. Currently living and working in Monaco, Italy and Greece, she is married to a Colombian artist called Fernando Botero. Vari studied and lived overseas for many years. Even though the artist has spent some time of her life in Great Britain, Paris is where she became relevant to artistic movements in modern sculpture, specifically cubism and surrealism.
