Mizuma Art Gallery is one of the best contemporary japanese art galleries to explore at this year’s edition of Art Basel Hong Kong (Galleries|Level 1 |1B37). This gallery has exhibiton spaces in Japan, Beijing and in Singapore , an artist residency space “Rumah Kijang Mizuma” in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, “Mizuma, Kips & Wada Art” in New York to support exchanges between local and Japanese artists.

Founded in 1994 by the japanese art gallerist projects by Sueo Mizuma, the gallery is focused on young artists from Japan and other Asian countries presents their artworks redolent with a spirit of critique. Works of japanese artists as Aida Makoto, Aiko Miyanaga, and Yamaguchi Akira are displayed in the Mizuma corner.

All over the corner of the Mizuma Art Gallery you can be surprised by the intervention of the emmerging artist Aoyama Satoro, who manifests a social and political vision using aestetics elements from different pediod of political and social history.
