Galerie BSL is, undoubtfully, one of the most awaited exhibitors which will showcase their breathtaking art and design collections at PAD Paris 2019 in April. Therefore, we decided to sneak peek the best collectible designs the gallery will exhibit at the fair.
Founded by Beatrice Saint-Laurent, Galerie BSL commissions, produces and exhibits refined and innovative works of art that challenge the established borders between art and design. Unique or very limited edition, these functional sculptures evoke an extraordinary experience to the admirer, awakening one’s sensibility, and speak to both the heart and the intellect.
The artists and designers supported by the gallery question the obvious and have their own intriguing and peculiar universe. Wonder blossoms through unexpected materials, sparks from the dialogue between art and function, dawns from an imaginary world that is powerful and enchanting.
Often it seems impossible to know how these works were made or what they are made of. This mystery around their creative process and their avant-garde aesthetic, confers a special soul and energy to what would otherwise be just a simple console, a seat, a lamp, or a table.
Fantasy fuses with the art piece, creating a dream-like aesthetic, full of dynamism and imagination. Galerie BSL represents the talented Djim Berger, Gildas Berthelot, Nacho Carbonell, Taher Chemirik, Studio Cogitech, Charlotte Cornaton, Noe Duchaufour-Lawrance, Carol Egan, Charles Kalpakian, François Mascarello, Studio MVW, Pia Maria Raeder, Ayala Serfaty, Isabelle Stanislas, and Faye Toogood.
