The Van der Straeten Galerie is one of the art galleries dedicated to contemporary design that will showcase its treasures at PAD Geneve 2019 (Stand 17).

The French designer Hervé Van der Straeten was born in 1965 and trained at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. Since 1985, his collections of sculptural jewelry made him known. All his international recognition was conquered thanks to his extraordinary furniture, mirror and lighting designs with his unique signature style.

The work of Hervé Van der Straeten merges creative freedom with production of the finest quality. Elegance and purity mark his approach. The Van der Straeten Gallery opened its doors in Paris in the Marais in 1999 and since then started to showcase unique and limited-edition art pieces in thematic exhibitions.

These pieces are mostly made with bronze. Cabinetmaking workshops are also developed by the gallery. The gallery provides iconic pieces for big luxury houses, as the J’adore bottle by Dior, the Kiss Kiss lipstick by Guerlain or the Excess line for the Saint Louis crystal glassworks.
